While Saba Homes signature program is educating the most disadvantaged segments of the society; the orphan girls and boys, we have initiated a new program to address the issue of unemployment in Pakistan.

Pakistan is experiencing the phenomenon of unemployed educated people, particularly jobless graduates. The unemployment rate among degree-holders is almost three times higher than the other overall unemployed people. The reason given for this is a mismatch between the education being imparted and the need of the economy to sufficiently absorb fresh graduates. (source: Dawn News)

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected a rise in the unemployment ratio for Pakistan from 4.5 percent in 2020 to 5.1 percent in 2021.

Recently, Saba Homes has launched a vocational training facility. Our facility currently offers programs for a variety of age groups and all genders. The main function and goal of our facility is to give high quality skilled and technical training to the community. Our programs are designed to train individuals within a period of 6 months to 12 months. Once trained, individuals will be able to re-enter the workforce with more experience and an increased skill level so that they can then earn for themselves and provide for their families. Our vision is that individuals will finish any given vocational program of their preference and be able to support their families with dignity

Currently, we have a complete floor comprising 8 vacant rooms for this project in a new building which was built in 2017 with full wheelchair access to each room and restrooms. It is located less than a mile from the G.T.Road (main freeway), Bahria Town, DHA-1, DHA-2, Gulrez and Chaklala Scheme-3. This makes it very convenient for people from various surrounding locations to commute.

Our goal is to make it a self-sustained program for a long period of time to continue serving the unemployed citizens of Pakistan who are struggling to make ends meet.
